CSBA is The Bees' Chosen Charity
The following is an article published on the Bees website, www.pitchero.com.
The Bees are delighted to announce that, Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale, are our chosen charity for another season.
Below, is a copy of the letter we have been sent by the charity.
Bees Rugby Club chosen CHARITY OF THE YEAR
We are writing to thank the Committee and Members of the Bees Rugby Club for supporting our service users through your fundraising events in support of the Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale charity.
We are extremely grateful for the £2,345.00 raised to date on our behalf which is a fantastic achievement in the current climate.
This money will help provide 78 separate support services that will improve the wellbeing of the people receiving them and will make a positive difference to their lives.
Cancer Support is your LOCAL independent charity and the only one of its kind in West Yorkshire. Each year more and more people are diagnosed with cancer and the demand for our support services grows. A cancer diagnosis not only affects the patient, but those around them too. We are here to support anyone in our District affected by cancer.
We rely heavily on donations and the proceeds from fundraising activities to help over 3,000 people receiving our services each year. Our services are all FREE to access, however, it costs over £720,000 a year to provide the help and advice. Your support is therefore valued and very much appreciated.
Thank you again to everyone at the Bees Rugby Club for continuing to support and help raise awareness of Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale – every £1 raised makes a difference locally.
Kind regards
Hayley Collis, Linda Enderby & Sarah Firth
