Our Very Own Marathon Man
Danny Chrisanthou is now fondly referred to, by the Fundraising Team, as the ‘Marathon Man’.
He has entered many Marathons over the years, his last three in aid of the charity raising thousands of pounds. His latest challenge was the Chester Marathon 2011.

Danny runs in memory of his late father George. The charity supported Danny’s parents during his father’s illness and he now enters the Marathons as his way of saying thank you.

'Chester Marathon 2011 is my 6th Marathon and I chose again to raise funds for Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale. Sadly I lost my dad, George, to cancer in March 2009. Running Marathons provides an opportunity to raise sponsorship and as so many people are, or have family and friends affected by cancer, they are always willing to support a local charity which provides practical, social and emotional help and support in our district for cancer patients, carers, families and bereaved people'
We are extremely grateful to Danny and his wife, Sarah, for their support and to everyone else who gives back to the charity in any way they can.
The support of our service users and their families helps us to continue helping others.
