We love to hear about your efforts and acknowledge that sometimes it is difficult to keep up momentum when you are putting your fundraising ideas into practice. If you would like to talk over an idea for an event or fundraising activity then please call Linda Enderby on 01274 776688 who will discuss ways in which we may be able to support you. We are able to design and print posters, produce tickets, where possible promote your event on the website and in some cases involve the local press! Please dont sit on an idea, talk it over with us. Just that one step forward could help us to support cancer patients and their families in a new Cancer Support Centre with the facilities they need to feel safe and supported in. We have updated the funds raised for the Daisy Appeal and are delighted to report that the total as at the 17th June 2008 is £1.32 million towards our goal of £1.4 million which is a fantastic result for our service users and everyone who has supported the charity. Thanks to Safestyle UK Chairman John Ross for supporting the Daisy Appeal
John Ross Chairman of Safestyle UK (pictured right and below with Maureen Burns BCS Daisy Appeal Co-ordinator) visited the site of the new Bradford Cancer Support Centre at Smith Lane Bradford on 26th February 2008 to give his Company's support to help local people living with or who have survived cancer and their families. In 2007 John pledged a donation from Safestyle to help BCS to build their new Centre and his pledge was honoured yesterday when he presented a cheque for £5000 from his company to boost the funds raised to date for the Daisy Appeal.

Wednesday 3rd to Saturday 6th December Maureen Burns BCS Daisy Appeal Co-ordinator said " We are delighted that John has made time to visit the site of the new Centre so we could thank him personally for his support for the services BCS provides. We know he is a very busy man and we appreciate his making time to find out how his support will make a real difference to the lives of the local people BCS Support. It was also an opportunity for us to tell him how important the new facilities will be to the service users who receive support from BCS now and in the future.John was invited to come back to the project when it is completed later

Saturday 29th November Scrumptious Success! The 'Al Fresco Feast' at Mario's raised £217 and the food was delicious - definately an Al Fresco Feast! Thank-you to everyone who supported this event Grease Night Raised a whopping £426. Great fun on the night with prizes for best fancy dress and dancer. The 'American Fast Food Diner' style supper was a real authentic success. Many thanks to everyone who joined in this fun and enjoyable event |
