Counselling offers you an opportunity to speak in confidence to someone about matters that may be worrying or distressing. Often painful feelings can be relieved by telling someone else and knowing that you have been heard and understood. It provides an opportunity to look at your concerns and consider different options open to you. It can help you manage change in your life.

What is counselling?

Who is counselling for?

We are able to see people who are affected by cancer in any way. These include patients, relatives, carers and people who have been bereaved. We will be respectful and sensitive towards ethnic cultural, religious and individual differences.

The Counselling Service

Counselling at the Bradford Cancer Support centre is a confidential service provided by a team of professional counsellors who have had specialist training and experience in working with the people affected by cancer. The organisation is registered with the British Association of counsellors and Psychotherapists. Counsellors work within the Ethical Framework for Good Practice on Counselling and Psychotherapy
